Privacy Policy
This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Lishi Search mobile application (the “App”).
1. The App and its local catalogue
Lishi Search does not require an account. Vehicle and key searches are performed against a catalogue stored locally on your device. Search terms, favourites and compatibility lookups are not uploaded by the App to a developer-operated server or cloud database.
2. Advertising and consent
The App uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner advertising. Depending on your location, device settings and consent choices, Google may collect or process information such as your IP address (which may indicate approximate location), advertising or app identifiers, app interactions and diagnostic information. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, security and fraud prevention.
Where required, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and record your advertising consent choices before requesting ads. You can revisit available choices through the App’s Privacy choices menu. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings.

3. Information received by the developer
The developer may receive aggregated advertising reports from Google and information that you choose to send directly by email. If you use the App's optional Report an issue form, the description you submit is sent to the developer through Formspree so that the issue can be investigated and support can be provided. Do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in an issue report.
The App does not provide the developer with an account profile, precise location, contact list or the contents of your local searches.
4. Sharing and sale of information
The developer does not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by Google as the advertising and consent service provider, in accordance with Google’s policies and your available consent choices. Formspree processes voluntarily submitted issue reports on the developer's behalf for app support and diagnostics. Learn more in Formspree's Privacy Policy.
5. Retention and deletion
Because the App does not create user accounts or upload search activity to developer-operated systems, the developer does not hold an App account or search history to delete. Removing the App deletes its locally stored app data from your device. Google’s retention and deletion practices apply to information processed through its advertising services. If you contact us by email or submit an issue report, the correspondence or report may be retained as reasonably necessary to answer your request, investigate the issue, maintain support records or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of a submitted issue report by contacting the address below and providing enough information for us to identify it. See the Lishi Search data deletion instructions.
6. Security and international processing
Reasonable measures are used to protect the App and its local catalogue. Advertising information sent to Google and issue reports sent through Formspree are transmitted using encrypted network connections. Google and Formspree may process information in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards described in their privacy documentation.
7. Children
Lishi Search is a professional reference tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated account or database. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so it can be addressed.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the App, advertising services or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will always be published on this page.
